Earliest response to nature was to memorialize in drawing and paint, continuing that interaction from childhood to the present. 
 
Another early passion as a Chicagoan was architecture, leading to a professional architecture degree from University of Illinois at Chicago.
Drawing influences including the architect Larry Perkins and college European sketch trips, then 22 years in the office of architect Harry Weese.
Painting in watercolors and oils has been continuous and included in this website are some examples.
